This is Just the Beginning

Launching a first author website feels a little like opening the front door to a house you’ve spent a long time building in private.

Until now, much of this work has existed behind the scenes — in notebooks, drafts, revisions, research, quiet decisions, false starts, better starts, and the slow shaping of a fictional world I hoped readers would want to enter. Now that Murder at Ashgrove Hall has arrived, this website becomes the place where that world meets the people it was written for.

So, what can you expect here?

First, this site will be the home for book news and release updates. As new projects take shape, this is where I’ll share announcements, previews, cover reveals, and first looks at what’s ahead.

Second, I’ll occasionally post reflections on the writing life and the craft behind the stories. Not in a way that strips the mystery out of mystery, but in a way that gives readers a glimpse into what inspires the books: the appeal of historical settings, the architecture of suspense, the tension between appearance and truth, and the small details that often become the hinge of an entire plot.

Third, this will be a place for readers who enjoy immersive historical fiction and classic-feeling mystery to stay connected. One of the best parts of writing is knowing the story no longer belongs only to the writer once it is published. It belongs, in some small way, to every reader who enters it. I’m grateful for that, and I want this site to reflect it.

As for what comes next: more stories.

I’m especially interested in building mysteries that feel connected not only by tone and setting, but by a larger sense of world. I want each book to stand on its own while also rewarding readers who continue the journey. If you enjoy recurring characters, evolving relationships, layered settings, and the feeling of stepping back into a world with unfinished shadows at its edges, I think you’ll like where this is going.

At the heart of it all, my goal is simple. I want to write books that are absorbing, atmospheric, and satisfying — novels that invite readers in with elegance and keep them there with tension, character, and discovery.

If you’ve found your way here at the start, thank you. It means more than you know.

There is more to come, and I’m very glad to have you here for it.
